Find answers to the most commonly asked questions about our farm management services. If you have additional inquiries, feel free to reach out.

What types of landowners do you work with?

I work with everyone from multi-generational farmers to absentee landowners who live out of state. Whether you’re actively farming or simply looking for a trusted partner to manage your land, I tailor my services to fit your needs.

What makes 8th Day Farm Management different from other farm managers?

I bring personal, hands-on experience to every decision—backed by lessons learned in the field, not just behind a desk. You get more than management—you get a partner who truly understands what’s at stake and treats you, your business, and your land with the care it deserves.

Do I have to live nearby to work with you?

No. Many of my clients live out of town or even out of state. I take care of everything locally, including property visits, tenant management, and lease oversight—keeping you updated every step of the way.

How do you find and vet farm tenants?

I leverage a network of experienced and proven farm operators. Every tenant is vetted based on their farming practices, integrity, and ability to meet your land’s long-term goals.

What types of land and crops do you manage?

I manage a wide range of property types including dryland, irrigated, CRP, and specialty-use farmland. My experience covers crops like corn, wheat, rye, sunflowers, soybeans, pinto beans, hemp, and more.

Can you help with a lease I already have in place?

Yes. I review and renegotiate existing lease agreements to ensure they are fair, compliant, and beneficial to your long-term goals. I can also help you understand terms related to water rights, mineral rights, and conservation clauses.

What is farm estate planning, and do I need it?

Farm estate planning ensures your land is passed on smoothly, tax-efficiently, and according to your wishes. Whether you're planning for retirement or thinking generationally, it's a crucial step in protecting your legacy and your family’s future.

How often do you visit the properties you manage?

I conduct weekly property visits during the growing season and maintain regular communication year-round. My proactive approach helps us catch issues early and keep your land performing at its best.

Do you offer one-time consulting services?

Yes. While most clients choose full-service management, I also offer consulting for lease reviews, land valuation, estate planning, and strategic planning.
