“On the 8th day, God looked down on His planned paradise and said, ‘I need a caretaker for His land.’ So He made a farmer.” - Paul Harvey

ABOUT ME

Rooted in Experience. Built for Results

With over 30 years in agriculture, I’ve worked across nearly every part of the industry—farming, ag retail, land brokerage, and farmland asset management. I’ve learned what works, what doesn’t, and how to help landowners make the most of their property with smart, grounded, and strategic decisions.

My Background & Experience

Niebur Farms

CEO/President
Burlington, CO | 1998 – 2024

I farmed over 16,000 acres of corn, wheat, rye, sunflowers, soybeans, industrial hemp, and pinto beans in Eastern Colorado. I oversaw all day-to-day operations—managing employees, finances, inventories, and crop marketing. I pioneered Strip-Till and No-Till methods in our region and used forward contracting and hedging strategies to market grain through ethanol plants, feedlots, and local distilleries. I adapted to shifting conditions, audited the business regularly, and worked closely with neighboring landowners to create mutually beneficial partnerships.

Director of Acquisitions
Denver, CO | 2015 - 2018

In this role, I managed more than 35,000 acres of farmland across the western U.S., supporting acquisitions, tenant relationships, and operational improvements. I evaluated properties in states like Colorado, Kansas, Idaho, and Nebraska, providing recommendations on how to turn underperforming farms into profitable assets. I collaborated with in-house executives, negotiated leases, and introduced new farming technology to drive returns for investors.

Colorado Land Investments

Associate Broker
Burlington, CO | 2015 - 2022

As a licensed broker, I helped clients buy and sell agricultural properties, specializing in feedlots, CRP ground, pasture, and irrigated farmland. I personally brokered over $21 million in land sales and advised clients on everything from water and mineral rights to wind energy leases and conservation easements. I also led land auctions, wrote lease terms, and helped both buyers and sellers navigate the complex landscape of rural real estate.

Tri - County Ag Inc.

CEO/President
Burlington, CO | 2000 - 2006

I ran a retail agronomy company selling fertilizer, chemicals, and seed—serving over 80,000 acres. Within four years, I ranked second nationally in Golden Harvest corn seed sales. I managed a sales team, created test plots to promote seed performance, and led early adoption of GPS and auto-steer technology to improve operational efficiency. I also organized farmer meetings and training sessions to help local growers adopt more productive methods.

Sackett's Inc

Custom Applicator
Joes, CO | 1995 - 2002

Early in my career, I applied fertilizer and chemicals across 25,000 acres annually in Eastern Colorado. I built custom nutrient plans based on individual farm needs and formed strong relationships with growers across multiple counties—many of which I still maintain today.

Additional Works

Publications | Advocacy

In addition to my operational and management work, I’ve also served as a voice for farmers—advocating for agricultural policy and sharing insights on the financial realities of farming with a broader audience. Over the years, I’ve been honored to contribute to public conversations that shape how agriculture is understood and supported at both the state and industry levels. In 2005, I was featured in a Denver Post article advocating for a Disaster Relief Bill to support farmers facing severe drought and economic hardship. Drawing from my own experience in the field, I spoke to the urgent need for responsive policy that recognizes the volatility and risk built into modern agriculture. In 2003, I was featured in the May edition of ColoradoBiz Magazine, where I discussed how crop prices are tied to the Chicago Board of Trade and the strategies farmers use—including the futures market and pricing services—to market their grain effectively. The piece highlighted the complexity and nuance behind agricultural economics, as well as the skill required to navigate it successfully. My work has also been recognized by the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, where I’ve been featured for my ongoing involvement in supporting rural communities and promoting sustainable farm management practices. These advocacy efforts reflect a deeper mission: to help farmers and landowners gain clarity, avoid costly missteps, and protect the future of their operations.

Legacy

Farming isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am. I stand on the shoulders of those who came before me. I grew up watching my parents care for the land with integrity, faith, and purpose—values that shaped who I am and how I work today. Over the past 30 years, I’ve carried that legacy forward, managing thousands of acres, leading ag businesses, and helping landowners get the most from their farms without losing sight of what matters.
Today, through 8th Day Farm Management, I honor that legacy by helping other landowners protect and grow theirs. I want to pass down to my own children what was passed down to me—not just a livelihood, but a way of life rooted in responsibility, faith, and a deep respect for the land.
Because legacy isn’t just about what we leave behind. It’s about how we live today—and who we choose to serve with the gifts we’ve been given.
